Snoqualmie Valley
Garden Club
As a 501c3, SVGC’s mission is to inform, educate, and inspire our members and the community in the art, science, and joy of gardening, while fostering a commitment to environmental stewardship.
We cultivate lasting friendships … One event at a time.
Our events are entirely volunteer-run, bringing together a vibrant community to host celebrity speakers, plant sales, expert-led workshops, garden tours, field trips, and more.
Spring crocuses (Crocus vernus, Crocus chrysanthus) are among the first flowers to bloom as winter fades, bringing vibrant bursts of purple, yellow, white, and striped petals to gardens. These hardy, low-growing perennials thrive in well-drained soil and full to partial sun, often naturalizing in lawns, rock gardens, and woodland edges. Blooming in early spring, they provide essential nectar for emerging pollinators. Crocuses grow from corms planted in fall and require minimal care, making them a favorite for adding early-season color and charm to any landscape.
